It's coming up to the end of January, meaning, behind the scenes, shops across the designer industry begin getting promotions, plans, social media work and websites ready for the arrival of the Spring/Summer stock that usually delivers between middle February and early April (yes, it really does start that early). HEMINGCO. is no different. Darren and his team are hard at work ensuring that schedules are watertight and space is alike to prepare for the new season. So what can you expect from HEMINGCO.'s Spring/Summer Season? A release date? No. Not yet anyway (subscribe to our emails to find that out before anyone else 👀).
The main trend you should prepare for... knitwear. No, not merino wool-knitted uber-thick jumpers that'll have you sweating buckets once our week of 25 degree+ heat hits in July (which for this ginger blog author is an absolute nightmare) but organic cotton knitted into t-shirts and polo shirts. Knit-style tees and polos are an emerging trend within designer fashion, and for good reason. When crafted into loose fitting, comfort-style shapes and matched with a nice trouser and plain trainer, knitted tops provide an excellent balance of style and comfort. Whether the outfit is for a formal work do, casual drinks down the battle cruiser or simply to bask in the British sun, a knit top, light trouser and plain trainer is an increasingly dominant form of style that is multi-purpose in its usage.
In the previous two HEMINGCO. Spring/Summer Seasons, we've began rolling out limited options of knitted tops to gauge a sense of the stability of the trend. The eidetic memory holders may remember some of the previous knit pieces from Boss, which included the Kanache T-Shirt, in dark blue, light beige and a blue/white stripe, and the Kamiccio Shirt in dark blue and light beige. Boss have continued this trend into the upcoming season, and we have expanded our range to include more following the success and positive reception the previous knit pieces have received.

What else to expect in a Spring/Summer Season other than the shorts of course! We have a wide variety of shorts on the way dependent on what use you're looking for. Hugo Boss' iconic Chino Short, in its slim fit, comfort-stretch trouser material, is set to make its return, with a brand new colour on the way. For the more relaxing style, the popular Twill Short from Colorful Standard is on its way. These shorts are crafted from twilled, organic cotton, are slightly shorter in length and have an elasticated waistband fit for that looser style. Looking for a two-piece short? The sweat short is your choice, with Sandbanks, Boss and Aquascutum all bringing shorts that match tees and sweaters for that double-up. Finally, off away on your holidays and need some new swimmers? Look no further. The hugely popular patterned Boss Vibe Swim Short is returning, with new colour ways. Sandbanks have produced a seersucker-pattern swim short that matches a button-down shirt that is not only impending but already a staff favourite.
