Being well into our first Spring/Summer season, and only our second ever season collection, with Sandbanks, the brand has reached heights in-store that are unprecedented since the days of Stone Island and C.P Company first breaking onto the scene. Here at HemingCo, we have a list of numbers to ring whenever any new stock arrives in store, we're always discussing the brand with customers and we're looking to expand the range with urge.
The overwhelming reception to Sandbanks has left some questions among certain branches of the custom, and in this blog, I will try to answer them for you.
- Who? - Sandbanks are a British brand, founded by Sam Harman & Wayne Collins back in 2019. The brand picked up steam when former professional footballer Jamie Redknapp became Brand Ambassador in 2021. With his childhood connections to the South Coast alongside his expansive range of professional connections within sport punditry, Sandbanks quickly rose to the public's attention, with their sun-kissed logo regularly becoming a topic of conversation.
- What? - Sandbanks is a high-quality designer clothing brand. Its wide range of apparel includes the ever-standing t-shirt, polo shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie & cap, alongside newly introduced products such as denim, swimwear and towel-cotton blended apparel, a style that is a highly popular bestseller with our custom. Their most well-regarded collection is their wide variety of outerwear, endorsed for its impressive attention to quality, product weight and various sizes, styles and lengths.
- Where? - Sandbanks originated from the aforementioned area of Poole, and now bases its headquarters in London. Their clothes are primarily manufactured in Portugal, which is widely regarded in the industry to be the global leader in thick, high quality organic cotton.
- When? - As a brand, Sandbanks had been on our radar for some time, and we were finally able to acquire the brand in late 2023 to begin selling in the Autumn/Winter Season of 2024. Sandbanks' deliveries are done in drops to allow for product specialisation of each individual item and to allow for the fashion seasons to blend with the weather.
- Why? - Sandbanks' clothes are all made almost entirely from environmentally sustainable and recycled products, allowing for eco-friendly clothing production conducted by workers earning a fair wage and producing within good working conditions. Sandbanks are also a very exclusive brand of product to acquire, with strict rules regarding what shops are allowed to sell the brand and the quantities each shop can sell. This allows for the wearer to feel unique and embrace a style of fashion, with comfortable, eco-friendly, well-manufactured products.
