Introducing: The Bass Weejun; Easy Edition

Introducing: The Bass Weejun; Easy Edition

New to HemingCo is the arrival of the G.H Bass & Co. Easy Weejun loafer. This loafer has been introduced as an alternative to the traditional and iconic range of Bass loafers available due to its rubber sole and more moderate pricing.

The Easy Weejun loafer retails at £160, a more moderate price compared to the Bass alternative loafers with the leather sole. This is because of its rubber sole. The thickness of the rubber creates a chunkier sole, and its core foundations are an easier production for Bass at a lower production cost. Furthermore, this sole is supported by the loafer's footbed. Made of polyurethane, this cushioned footbed provides what Bass call "the comfort of a running shoe" and allow the wearer to look stylish at a more affordable price.

Continuing Bass' tradition of high quality production, these shoes are crafted in El Salvador, which also houses loafer production for Freda Salvador, Duramas and Brooks Brothers. Their factories house expert crafters who endorse any and every avenue possible to ensure maximum craftsmanship and comfort for each individual artefact.  This is done by the hand-stitching of each individual shoe, replacing the automated machinery hegemony that disrupts the individualism and expression-based fashion direction that the wearer deserves to embrace.

The loafer is shaped to a regular length to give the wearer time to shape the shoe to fit the foot. This is why HemingCo recommends either buying your natural size or the half-size below, depending on the level of stretch you wish to embed upon the loafer.

To launch the new product and direction HemingCo plans to proceed in with G.H Bass & Co., we are introducing the Easy Weejun in the traditional Larkin model in two colours, Black and Wine. The Larson is a tassleless style that instead focuses on allowing the rest of the shoe to breathe and express its individual creativity through a tonal, polished embroidered bridge. This allows for more freedom for the shoe to breathe and helps further the loafer's already exemplified slip on system.

This light introduction allows us to bring in the new model alongside the traditional leather favourites and begin to establish the slow change in direction we will be implementing in-store. To view the products or the entire Bass range, please click on one of the links below.
